Video Editor 1, launched in July 2016, was Panzoid's first foray into a more complete video editing experience. Built on the same foundation as Clipmaker 2, it aimed to deliver a fully-featured editing platform comparable to desktop video editors, a bold ambition considering the web technologies of the time. The result was a capable, though imperfect, video editor that pushed the boundaries of what web-based tools could achieve. While it had its share of limitations and bugs, Video Editor 1 managed to provide a glimpse of what was possible—introducing timeline-based editing for layering multiple video clips, transitions, and audio.
Despite not fully realizing the "no compromises" goal due to the inherent limits of early web platforms, Video Editor 1 was a pioneering tool that showed Panzoid's commitment to expanding its creative toolkit beyond intros and simple animations. It laid the groundwork for future improvements and the much more capable Video Editor 2 that would follow.
