Clipmaker 3, launched in May 2018, took everything that worked in Clipmaker 2 and pushed it to new heights. Built on the Gen 3 platform, this version introduced a much more powerful and flexible toolkit for creators. New features like the graph editor for manipulating keyframes, multiple layers, and the ability to apply individual effects to each layer opened up a world of possibilities. It brought in the flexibility of using custom shaders and JavaScript expressions, giving advanced users the tools they needed to create intricate, highly customized animations.
Unlike its predecessor, Clipmaker 3 shifted focus towards users looking for more advanced capabilities, adding features like undo/redo, improved rendering options, and cloud rendering to speed up complicated projects. While it never featured the same integrated Community Creations system, Clipmaker 3 cultivated a vibrant community that shared assets such as lightrooms, shaders, and fonts, creating an ecosystem where creativity could thrive. Clipmaker 3 was a statement—Panzoid was no longer just about ease of use, but about meeting the needs of more ambitious creators.
